Jeremy Palafox

Director, Media

The greater purpose to my work is the human-centered core of marketing: relationships, collaboration and empathy. I learned early in my career that the best marketers are those who can walk around in other people’s shoes as well as those who can work well with everyone, from clients to agencies to media partners. The best part of my job is collaborating with teammates, tackling challenges for clients together, and observing each individual grow in their career. And, the greater purpose to my life – my family of five – also centers on human beings. Even in this digital age where technology has upended most everything, the reason I get up every day and enjoy the work I do is people.

As an empathetic and thoughtful Associate Media Director at JUST, Jeremy guides strategy and assists in day-to-day operations across several client account teams. Jeremy also helps manage and mentor individual team members as they grow in their career, and this is the favorite part of his role.

Jeremy has 15 years’ experience as a media, marketing and management partner to some of the most innovative technology, retail, finance and advocacy brands on the planet, including Wal-Mart, AARP, Google, AMD and Dun & Bradstreet. One career highlight occurred in 2008 when President Obama saw the AARP ad campaign that Jeremy’s team led and said it was “cool.” Jeremy finds success for clients by creating energized team environments, building media strategy with equal parts art and science, and crafting marketing stories out of data. Throughout his career, Jeremy has achieved numerous awards that reinforce these passions.

Jeremy lives in Austin, Texas and has served the community over the past twenty years through a smorgasbord of organizations, including Austin Girls’ Choir Board of Directors, Austin Pets Alive, Community First Village, the Summitt Lion Dance Team and homeroom parent at his children’s elementary school. Jeremy loves planning birthday parties for his three kids, eating breakfast tacos with his lovely wife, and attempting the latest Tik Tok dance; the “Max and Ruby” is his current favorite.

Jeremy’s hometown is Fort Worth, Texas, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
